PRESIDENT HICHILEMA COMMENDED FOR SPEARHEADING DEVELOPMENT

Founder of the Healing Jesus Campaign from Ghana, Dag Heward-Mills, has commended President Hakainde Hichilema for Zambia’s peaceful democratic process and ongoing development, saying it signals a nation moving in the right direction, anchored on faith and collective responsibility.

Evangelist Heward-Mills commended the head of state for the development being recorded across the country, noting that there is clear transformation taking place in Zambia, with visible progress in many sectors.

Speaking when he paid a courtesy call at State House today, the evangelist offered prayers for President Hichilema ahead of the forthcoming general elections, invoking wisdom, unity, and divine guidance in his leadership.

“What we have seen in Zambia, from the peaceful general election process to the development taking place, is a testimony that unity and good leadership can move a nation forward,” he said.

And President Hichilema commended the church mother bodies for facilitating the evangelist’s visit, stating that Zambia stands to benefit spiritually and socially from his presence.

The head of state thanked the evangelist for acknowledging the progress being made in the country.

“I am only God’s messenger, being used to serve the people of Zambia and contribute to the well-being of the global community,” President Hichilema said.

He also expressed gratitude for the evangelist’s continued works in Zambia through his church and publications, noting that they are contributing to the spiritual upliftment of the people.

Meanwhile, Pentecostal Assemblies of Zambia (PAOGZ) presiding Bishop, Joshua Banda emphasized the need for unity at national, regional, and global levels, stating that meaningful progress depends on collective effort and shared purpose.

Bishop Banda said transformation does not always begin with grand gestures, but with intentional steps taken by committed individuals and communities.

He added that everyone, regardless of how small their role may seem, has the capacity to contribute meaningfully to the betterment of society.

“Each one of us has a role to play in building a better world, and moments like these show that we can truly be one,” he said.

The Ghanaian Evangelist and Bishop Dag Heward-Mills is visiting Zambia for a series of major religious events, including the “Healing Jesus Campaign.”
