Muchinga Province Minister, Njavwa Simutowe has commended President Hakainde Hichilema for ensuring equitable distribution of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) which has brought development in various constituencies in the country.

Speaking when he inspected Kabuta market shelter in Chinsali District being constructed using CDF, Mr Simutowe implored on the marketeers in the area to utilize the facility once completed.

“I understand that people were consulted on the location for the market shelter because as Government we don’t want to see market shelters turning into white elephants as such facilities are built to improve the trading environment for the local people,” he said.

Mr Simutowe reiterated that CDF is meant to transform communities and improve livelihoods of the Zambian people, saying this is evident through the immense infrastructure development dotted in various constituencies.

“Indeed CDF is benefiting the people of Zambia just here in Kabuta area, the market shelter under construction will enhance the trading environment for the people,” he said.
