Soccer fans in Kasama district have predicted a win in favor of the Copper Queens in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) encounter with Senegal this evening.
Evaristo Nyangu told ZANIS in an interview that the Copper Queens are in good form looking at how they performed against Morocco, in last Saturday’s encounter.
Nyangu however noted a weakness in the Copper Queen’s defense and midfield, further calling on the technical bench to strengthen the midfield and defense.
Nyangu has also appealed to the coach to maintain the striking force of Barbara Banda and Rachel Kundananji.
Another soccer fan, Fredrick Phiri, has advised the coach to balance the team, if they are to emerge victorious during this evening’s game.
He, however, noted that Senegal is a strong team which may give the Copper Queens a tough game.
He, however, predicted a 2-1 victory in favour of the Copper Queens.
Meanwhile, Mphande Youths Academy Coach Lisbon Mphande says this evening’s match is a must win for the Copper Queens.
He said the Shepolopolo exhibited resilience and played well despite conceding in the final minutes of the game against Morocco.
Zambia drew the first game, plays Senegal in the second game of the group stage and needs a win to stand a chance of progressing to the knockout phase.
