President Hakainde Hichilema says the government has directed the contractor working on the Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriageway to also work on township roads in Kabwe.
And President Hichilema has expressed concern at the slow pace the contractor is working on the Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriageway.
The Head of State has since assured the people of Kabwe that he will engage the contractor on the need to speed up the works.
Speaking when he addressed a multitude of Kabwe residents, President Hichilema urged the people to vote for the United Party for National Development (UPND) and its candidates participating in the August 13, General Elections.
“We have included Kabwe township roads in the construction of the Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriageway, the contractor is moving slowly, but from today, I will tell them to speed up the works,” he said.
And President Hichilema has assured the people of Makululu compound that the government will address the water challenges facing the people.
He said the people of Makululu need better water reticulation, which the government will deliver, including the creation of more jobs.
The Head of State explained that the government has managed to restructure the country’s economy, which will allow the government to create more jobs.
