Lusaka Province Minister Sheal Mulyata has applauded the warm bilateral relations that exist between Zambia and Burundi.

Ms Mulyata said since the establishment of the relations between Zambia and Burundi, the two countries have continued to work closely to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development.

Speaking during a reception to commemorate Burundi’s 63rd independence anniversary, she added that trade relations between Zambia and Burundi have shown steady progress over the past years, particularly in the agricultural sector.

“Zambia has continued to export various agricultural products to Burundi, including maize, soybeans, and other food commodities,” Ms Mulyata said.

She added that the bilateral exchange in agricultural goods has not only supported livelihoods but has also laid a foundation for deeper collaboration in agricultural businesses
