Luano District Commissioner Kells Meleki has expressed satisfaction with the K1.8 million installation of an Acro Bridge across Munda stream, a vital infrastructure project currently underway in Luano District.
Mr Meleki commended engineers from the Zambia National Service (ZNS), who, in collaboration with the Road Development Agency (RDA), have reached milestones on the project.
He said in an interview with ZANIS that the new bridge will provide a crucial link for the Mkushi copper mine community, Chief Chikupili’s chiefdom, and commercial farmers in Mibanga Ward.
Mr Meleki noted that the bridge will improve connectivity and open up new economic opportunities for the district.
He added that the construction is on schedule and was expected to be completed within the next two weeks.
The Munda Acro Bridge is anticipated to play a key role in driving economic development by enhancing access for local communities and facilitating the movement of goods and services throughout the region.
