Government has reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating Zambia’s digital transformation agenda through stronger partnerships, improved service delivery and increased citizen participation in the digital economy.
Speaking during the Digital Economy Roundtable (DERT 3) meeting at the Zambia Information and Communications Technology Authority (ZICTA) in Lusaka, Ministry of Technology and Science Permanent Secretary, Brilliant Habeenzu said government is shifting from dialogue to practical implementation of digital economy priorities.
Dr Habeenzu said the meeting builds on earlier engagements aimed at aligning national digital transformation efforts and strengthening collaboration among stakeholders.
“Today, we have built on that momentum, moving from dialogue to concrete action. Partnerships and collaborations are the lifeblood of this digital transformation journey, and your presence here today affirms that this is a collective national effort,” he said.
Dr Habeenzu said government is determined to improve service quality, strengthen data accountability and increase citizen participation in the digital economy.
“As directed by the then Minister of Technology and Science, Honourable Felix Mutati, MP, we are moving beyond dialogue to concrete action. DERT 3 has not only taken stock of progress but has also launched practical next steps focused on service quality, data accountability, citizen usage, and greater participation in the digital economy,” he said.
