Vice President Mutale Nalumango has thanked the people of Kasama for their support in electing Bywell Simposya as Kasama Mayor.

The Vice President has described the Mayoral elections outcome as a reflection of public confidence in development focused leadership.

Speaking upon her arrival at Kasama Airport, the Vice President expressed gratitude to residents for participating in the democratic process and making what she termed a progressive choice for the district.

She emphasized that the election of Mr, Simposya presents an opportunity to accelerate development and improving service delivery in the district.

The Vice President has also reminded the people of Kasama on the importance of the free education policy, noting that the policy continued to benefit many families.

“The free education has come it is for you, let us take advantage of it and take our children to school, the policy has increased access to learning opportunities for children across the country,” she said.

She further highlighted the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF), stating that the enhanced allocation was aimed at supporting local projects and improving livelihoods.

She urged residents to take advantage to initiate community driven development programs.

“The Constituency development Fund is meant for you, get it and develop yourself through its empowerment programmes,” she said.

The Vice President further encouraged the people of Kasama to remain engaged in national matters and prepare to participate in the upcoming elections.
