CHEMBE MP URGES RESIDENTS TO PROTECT PUBLIC INFRASTRUCTURE

CHEMBE Member of Parliament Cliff Mpundu has implored residents in the district to embrace ongoing development projects and guard against vandalism of public infrastructure.

Addressing a public gathering when he toured his constituency, Mr Mpundu said the investments which were aimed at improving the welfare of the people were being implemented at a huge public cost, hence, the need for residents to safeguard the infrastructure.

He further challenged locals to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to relevant authorities.

“Government has been consistent in releasing funds to improve our lives through infrastructure development, therefore let us collaborate and work together to continue on the path of development,” Mr Mpundu said.

Meanwhile, Mr Mpundu acknowledged that more effort was needed to adequately address the district’s water challenges.
