LAVUSHIMANDA GETS EDUCATION INFRASTRUCTURE THROUGH CDF

Lavushimanda Town Council has completed the construction of a 1 by 2 classroom block at Mwila Chilembwe Primary School in Lavushimanda District at a cost of over K1.3 million using the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

Council Director of Engineering, Humphrey Makabe, says the project scope includes a solar-powered 1 by 2 classroom block, 50 desks, head teacher’s office furniture and upgrading of a solar-powered water reticulation system, which will include a submersible pump from the current hand pump.

Mr Makabe further explained that the project will soon be commissioned once the defects of the water reticulation system are rectified.

He was speaking when members of the Constituency Development Fund Committee (CDFC) toured some CDF projects in the area.

Meanwhile, Mr Makabe said the 2025 CDF allocation is also facilitating the construction of an additional dormitory and ablution block at Red Rhino Boarding School in Mpumba Chiefdom of Mfuwe constituency.
