The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), says Chipolopolo winger Lameck Banda is out of danger after collapsing during a football match in Italy.
FAZ Head of Media and Communications, Nkweto Tembwe, says the player was rushed to Cardarelli Hospital in Naples after the incident, where he was placed under medical observation overnight.
The incident occurred during a match involving Banda’s Italian club, U.S. Lecce, against SSC Napoli in the Serie A.

Chipolopolo Team Manager, Charles Kalala, who spoke with the player, confirmed that Banda has since been discharged from hospital and is now in stable condition.
Tembwe said FAZ will provide a comprehensive update once the medical team releases further details regarding the player’s condition.
This is according to a statement issued to ZANIS in Lusaka today.
