MINISTER OF YOUTH DISPELS CLAIMS OVER KIZELA YOUTH LAND

Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts Elvis Nkandu has dispelled assertions that the 25,000 hectares of land which was given to the Ministry by the Kizela Royal Establishment is only benefiting the youths from outside Northwestern Province.
Responding to a query which was raised by one of the journalists over the land in question, Mr Nkandu said the concerns raised by the royal establishment are not about the land benefiting youths from outside North Western Province but that since the land was given, it has been underutilised by the owners of the land, who happen to be the youths themselves.
He said young people across the country had been crying for land, adding that it was unfortunate that when the land was available, it was again underutilised.
Mr Nkandu clarified that the 25,000 hectares of land in Mufumbwe did not only belong to the youths of Northwestern but to all the youths in the country who may wish to access it.
