FAZ RESCHEDULES AGM TO MAY 9

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has rescheduled its Annual General Meeting (AGM) from April 11 to May 9, 2026.

FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande said the decision was made to ensure that key statutory and governance processes linked to AGM documentation are fully met.

He emphasized the importance of giving affiliates adequate time to scrutinize audited financial statements and other statutory reports before the meeting.

“This decision has been taken to safeguard the integrity of our governance processes and to ensure full compliance with the Constitution,” Shepande stated.

He expressed regret over the rescheduling but assured members that all relevant documentation would be circulated within the timelines prescribed by the FAZ Constitution.

“Affiliates have been advised to submit proposals for inclusion on the AGM agenda at least 45 days before the meeting,” he said.

This is according to a statement issued to ZANIS by FAZ Head of Media and Communication, Nkweto Tembwe.
