CHURCH IMPLORED TO PRAY FOR NATIONAL LEADERS

A clergyman in Lusaka says the church should pray for President Hakainde Hichilema to continue leading with wisdom, strength, and guidance.

Hilltop Lighthouse Global Ministries Overseer Frank Mwiinga says the Lord’s intervention through prayer fosters national peace and unity in an environment where people can live peaceful, Godly and dignified lives.

Apostle Mwiinga implored the church to pray for the President and other government officials, noting that spiritual battle requires prayers for the President and leaders to govern justly for the people in the nation to love one another, care, and have spiritual well-being, peace, and unity.

The clergy said this in an interview with ZANIS in Lusaka on the sidelines of the commemorations of the 20th anniversary of Hilltop Lighthouse Global Ministries that carried the theme “20 years of grace, growth and God’s unfailing love.”

“The church should pray for the Head of State because leadership comes for God and prayer is a tool that can solve challenges the nation is faced with,” Apostle Mwiinga said.

He added that spiritual battles require prayer for divine intervention and to counter negative spiritual influences.
