Chilanga Town Council Assistant Public Relations Officer Thelma Chembe has disclosed that the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) continues to transform the education sector through the provision of infrastructure in communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms Chembe explained that in Nyemba Ward, the construction of a 1×3 classroom block at Namalombwe Primary School at a total cost of K893,673.27 has improved the learning environment for pupils and enhanced access to quality education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In an interview with ZANIS, Ms Chembe said before the construction of the classroom block, the school faced challenges of inadequate learning space, resulting in overcrowded classrooms and difficult learning conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She pointed out that the new facility has eased congestion and provided a more conducive environment for teaching and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ms Chembe stated that the improved infrastructure has not only enhanced pupils’ learning experience but also motivated them to attend school regularly and focus on their studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She indicated that the Free Education Policy has enabled more children to access education, leading to increased numbers of pupils and a greater demand for classroom space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe project has brought hope to the learners of Namalombwe Primary School and the surrounding community by providing a better learning environment and creating opportunities for improved educational outcomes for future generations,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She however noted that in order to accommodate more learners at the school, there will be need to have additional classroom infrastructure to cater for the growing enrollment at the school. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
