The construction of the ultra-modern Soloboni Secondary School in Kafue District, being undertaken at a total cost of K19.6 Million is nearing completion.<\/p>\n
Kafue District Commissioner, Maurice Hikapulwe, who toured the construction site, expressed satisfaction with the progress made on the project.<\/p>\n
ZANIS reports that speaking during the tour, Mr Hikapulwe said once completed, the school is expected to accommodate a large number of learners in the district.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have toured Soloboni Secondary School which is under construction, and I am impressed with the progress of works. We are all looking forward to its completion as it will cater for a large number of learners in Kafue,\u201d said Mr Hikapulwe.<\/p>\n
He added that Kafue residents are eagerly awaiting the completion of the project, which is set to become the district\u2019s largest secondary school.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Soloboni Secondary School Headteacher, Anthony Samanenga, disclosed that 12 housing units, a school hall, science laboratories, a sick bay, ablution blocks, a library and design and technology laboratories, have been constructed alongside the school infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Mr Samanenga said the project is currently in its third and final phase, which focuses on completion works.<\/p>\n
And Kafue District Education Board Secretary, Levy Matongo, disclosed that the school project is being funded by the World Bank.<\/p>\n
Mr Matongo said the project has reached 90 percent completion,\u00a0adding that funds for the final phase have already been disbursed.<\/p>\n
