Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation Programme,\u00a0 Acting Director for Water Resources Development, Abel Manangi, says Zambia remains water secure, with government\u2019s continuous implementation of water projects that have improved\u00a0access to clean water and safe sanitation services for citizens across the country.<\/p>\n
Speaking when he featured on a ZANIS special programme on African Freedom Day, Mr Manangi said the country has continued to make significant progress in managing and developing water resources that are contributing to achieving the goals of the African Union Agenda 2063.<\/p>\n
Mr Manangi stressed that this year\u2019s Africa Freedom Day theme, \u201cAssuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems to Achieve the Goals of Agenda 2063,\u201d resonates with Zambia\u2019s commitment to improving the lives of citizens through enhanced water supply and sanitation services.<\/p>\n
And, Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation, Acting Director of Water Supply and Sanitation, Richard Kangwa, says one of the mandates of the Ministry is to ensure that the country is water secure and this is achieved by the rehabilitation of water harvesting infrastructure.<\/p>\n
