Shiwang\u2019andu\u00a0Town Council has handed over 10 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) projects that were constructed at a cost over K7.4 million.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the ceremony, District Commissioner, Maureen Bwembya said the development signifies hope, progress, and improved public service delivery for local residents.<\/p>\n
Ms Bwembya noted that CDF has brought meaningful development closer to the grassroots.<\/p>\n
She has since thanked President Hakainde Hichilema for his visionary leadership and for increasing the CDF allocation, which is spearheading community development.<\/p>\n
Ms Bwembya stated that the enhanced funds are transforming lives across the district through upgraded infrastructure, secondary school bursaries, skills training, and empowerment grants for women and youths.<\/p>\n
\u201cToday, because of CDF, our children are learning in better classrooms, communities are benefiting from improved infrastructure, and our youths are gaining opportunities through empowerment and skills training,\u201d Ms Bwembya said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Shiwang\u2019andu Constituency Development Fund Committee (CDFC) Chairperson, Mark Harvey emphasized the need for good workmanship in all public projects.<\/p>\n
