President Hakainde Hichilema has offered a message of condolence and comfort to Paramount Chief Chitimukulu following the death of his wife and children.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ZANIS reports that President Hichilema says death remains a mystery that one can only accept when it happens.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaking when he called on Paramount Chief Chitimukulu at his palace in Mungwi District, in Northern Province, President Hichilema encouraged the Mwine Lubemba to look to God, stating that he is the giver and the one who takes life.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are sorry for the loss of your wife and children; we are here to offer our sincere condolences for the losses. Only God knows everything because he is the giver of life and he takes it away. <\/span>Death is a mystery and ours is to accept whenever it happens,” President Hichilema comforted the traditional leader.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Head of State encouraged the traditional leader to look to God for continued strength to carry on his responsibilities of caring for the people in his chiefdom and foster development in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And the Mwine Lubemba Chitimukulu has thanked President Hichilema for his continued support.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Paramount Chief Chitimukulu acknowledged the President’s dispatch of a high-level delegation including cabinet ministers, government officials and traditional leaders who attended the funeral.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The traditional leader noted that mourning with the people has made the burden lighter.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“The 12 months since I lost my children and wife have given me a different angle to look at life. I want to thank you for sending people to come and mourn with me, this has brought relief and made the burden lighter for me,\u201d he acknowledged.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

President Hakainde Hichilema is in Northern Province for a one-day working visit.<\/span><\/p>\n
