{"id":3630,"date":"2026-04-16T20:30:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T18:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=3630"},"modified":"2026-04-16T19:41:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T17:41:03","slug":"zanaco-committed-to-nurturing-young-leaders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=3630","title":{"rendered":"ZANACO COMMITTED TO NURTURING YOUNG LEADERS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">ZANACO Bank Chief Credit Risk Officer Kalengo Simukoko, says Zambia\u2019s efforts to nurture a new generation of transformative leaders is a progressive step towards achieving sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Mr Simukoko notes that the calibre of leadership being developed today will play a decisive role in shaping Africa\u2019s future, hence the need to support them through concerted efforts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka, Mr Simukoko announced that the bank has for this reason committed K400,000 towards sponsoring the upcoming C-Suite Africa summit, which is expected to inculcate leadership skills in youths.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">He added that leadership should extend beyond financial results and focus on addressing wider societal challenges, especially given Africa\u2019s predominantly youthful population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Mr Simukoko described the upcoming summit as an important platform for shaping leadership perspectives, strengthening business ethics, and encouraging collaboration across generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Meanwhile, C-Suite Africa Founder Komba Malukutila observed that despite Africa\u2019s abundance of talent and innovation, many young leaders lack access to key decision-making spaces.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ZANACO Bank Chief Credit Risk Officer Kalengo Simukoko, says Zambia\u2019s efforts to nurture a new generation of transformative leaders is a progressive step towards achieving sustainable development.
