NORTH-WESTERN Province Minister Robert Lihefu, has reiterated the government’s commitment to opening up the province to business partnerships with neighbouring countries through upgrade of international roads and associated boarder infrastructure at Kipushi, Kambimba and Kamiswalo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his opening remarks during the Provincial Development Coordinating Committee 2026 (PDCC) first quarter meeting held in Solwezi, Mr Lihefu noted that with progress being made on the Lobito corridor and international stakeholders visiting the province in search of investment opportunities, it is imperative that local businesses are positioned to take part in the development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Provincial Minister, who is also PDCC Chairperson, further called on the business community to prepare themselves to take part in all economic activities that will come with the Lobito project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am fully aware that the Kipushi Road is in a bad state but soon the contractor will commence upgrading that road to bituminous standards,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And North-western Province Permanent Secretary, Grandson Katambi, who is also the PDCC Vice Chairperson, represented by the Deputy Permanent Secretary, Luckson Mulumbi, called for unity among public service employees, noting that quality service cannot be achieved in isolation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
