{"id":3555,"date":"2026-04-15T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-15T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=3555"},"modified":"2026-04-15T10:43:49","modified_gmt":"2026-04-15T08:43:49","slug":"rufunsa-ddcc-urges-completion-of-stalled-police-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=3555","title":{"rendered":"RUFUNSA DDCC URGES COMPLETION OF STALLED POLICE STATION"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">THE Rufunsa District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) has called for the completion of the district\u2019s stalled police station to strengthen law and order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Speaking during the 2025 fourth quarter and the 2026 first quarter DDCC meeting held at the council chamber, Committee Chairperson Richard Mabena questioned why Rufunsa district continues to rely on police posts in Luangwa and Chongwe, while lacking its own magistrate court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Mr Mabena urged DDCC members and stakeholders to work together to finish the abandoned police station construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">\u201cIt is really sad that the district, created almost 13 years ago, has no police station and magistrate court. We are still reporting to Luangwa and Chongwe, why should this continue?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Mr Mabena noted that with the increased Constituency Development Fund (CDF), Rufunsa has achieved developmental milestones, adding that as one of the largest districts in Lusaka Province, it deserves a fully-fledged police station and magistrate court to enhance law and order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The committee resolved to hold a special meeting with the CDF committee to prioritize stalled projects, including the District Administration, Civic Centre and the police station using CDF resources.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THE Rufunsa District Development Coordinating Committee (DDCC) has called for the completion of the district\u2019s stalled police station to strengthen law and order.
