North-Western Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Luckson Mulumbi has reiterated government\u2019s commitment to promoting Christian values and principles among young people as a way of fostering moral development and addressing mental health challenges.<\/p>\n
Mr Mulumbi said initiatives such as the Scripture Union played a critical role in shaping the spiritual wellbeing of learners, particularly at a time when many youths were facing increasing social and psychological pressures.<\/p>\n
He was speaking during the 2026 Provincial Scripture Union Camp Meeting held in Kalumbila District.<\/p>\n
Mr Mulumbi noted that government recognised the importance of faith-based organisations in complementing efforts to guide young people towards responsible citizenship.<\/p>\n
He added that platforms like the Scripture Union help equip learners with values that enable them to overcome life\u2019s challenges and make sound decisions.<\/p>\n
“The government acknowledges and appreciates the invaluable contribution of Scripture Union and as such we shall continue to work tirelessly to foster a brighter future for all the young people through education, health and agriculture\u201d, Mr Mulumbi said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Provincial Scripture Union Chairperson Emmanuel Kandolondo said the camp meeting had attracted learners from various schools across the province.<\/p>\n
