{"id":3072,"date":"2026-03-17T14:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=3072"},"modified":"2026-03-17T11:54:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T09:54:17","slug":"lundazi-man-dies-in-a-well","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=3072","title":{"rendered":"LUNDAZI MAN DIES IN A WELL"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">A 64-year-old man of Chipyola Compound in Lundazi District has died after falling into a six-metre deep well within his yard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Kakunda Zimba, now deceased, is alleged to have gone on a drinking spree and was last heard by neighbours talking to himself as he was returning back home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Police say the incident occurred on an unknown date and time, but between March 8, 2026 around 20:00 hours and&nbsp;March 11, 2026 at around 12:00 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">The matter was reported to the Lundazi Police Station on March 15 at around 16:00 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Preliminary investigations reveal that the deceased&nbsp;could had fallen in the well due to drunkenness.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\">Eastern Province Police Commissioner, Robertson Mweemba&nbsp; &nbsp;has confirmed the matter to Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in Lundazi today.   <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A 64-year-old man of Chipyola Compound in Lundazi District has died after falling into a six-metre deep well within his yard.
