{"id":2859,"date":"2026-03-02T22:17:51","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T20:17:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=2859"},"modified":"2026-03-02T22:17:51","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T20:17:51","slug":"kalumbilas-mukumbi-mini-hospital-construction-hits-final-stage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=2859","title":{"rendered":"KALUMBILA&#8217;S MUKUMBI MINI-HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION HITS FINAL STAGE."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>KALUMBILA&#8217;S MUKUMBI MINI-HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION HITS FINAL STAGE.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The Lumwana Community Trust Coordinator in Kalumbila District of Northwestern Province Luka Mayamba says the construction works at Mukumbi Mini-Hospital which started in 2024 has reached its final stage.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Mayamba said the Mukumbi mini-hospital which is being constructed through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) is expected to be fully operational between April and May this year 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a site inspection, Lumwana Community Trust Coordinator Luka Mayamba said remaining works include a doctor\u2019s house, refurbished wards, a maternity annex and three nurses houses.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that although the main structure was built in 2023, it had not yet been operationalised due to ongoing additional works such as admission ward and other support infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Once operational, the Mukumbi Mini-Hospital is expected to transform healthcare delivery in Chief Mukumbi\u2019s area and surrounding communities, including Kalengelenge, Mangala, Kyanika, Kiyombo and Lubinga.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the caretaker of Mukumbi Royal Establishment, Senior Chief Mukumbi, appealed to the government to deploy sufficient medical staff once the Mukumbi Mini-Hospital is completed, ensuring its full operational capacity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KALUMBILA&#8217;S MUKUMBI MINI-HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION HITS FINAL STAGE.
