The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has rescheduled its Annual General Meeting (AGM) from April 11 to May 9, 2026.<\/p>\n
FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande said the decision was made to ensure that key statutory and governance processes linked to AGM documentation are fully met.<\/p>\n
He emphasized the importance of giving affiliates adequate time to scrutinize audited financial statements and other statutory reports before the meeting.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis decision has been taken to safeguard the integrity of our governance processes and to ensure full compliance with the Constitution,\u201d Shepande stated.<\/p>\n
He expressed regret over the rescheduling but assured members that all relevant documentation would be circulated within the timelines prescribed by the FAZ Constitution.<\/p>\n
\u201cAffiliates have been advised to submit proposals for inclusion on the AGM agenda at least 45 days before the meeting,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
This is according to a statement issued to ZANIS by FAZ Head of Media and Communication, Nkweto Tembwe.<\/p>\n
