Zambia and South Africa have declared a partnership that connects industries, opens supply chains, and enhances trade between the two countries.<\/p>\n
The affirmation is anchored on the plan to implement a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today into action between the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) and the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS).<\/p>\n
The MoU will act as a tool that will help businesses produce goods that meet customer expectations, improve safety, and open doors to new markets.<\/p>\n
ZABS Executive Director Nathan Sing’ambwa, signed on behalf of the organisation, while SABS Chief Operations Officer Thabo Sepuru, signed on behalf of his organisation.<\/p>\n
“Beyond institutional collaboration, this partnership will strengthen our national capacity to deliver products and services that are trusted not only locally but across borders,\u201d\u00a0Mr Sing’ambwa\u00a0said.<\/p>\n
SABS Chief Operations Officer Thabo Sepuru, emphasised the need for African countries to trade with one another.<\/p>\n
Mr Sepuru noted that the partnership would drive maximum benefits to the people in the two countries.<\/p>\n
