{"id":2232,"date":"2026-02-02T17:09:20","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T15:09:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=2232"},"modified":"2026-02-02T17:13:01","modified_gmt":"2026-02-02T15:13:01","slug":"zabs-sabs-sign-mou-to-enhance-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zanis.gov.zm\/?p=2232","title":{"rendered":"ZABS, SABS SIGN MOU TO ENHANCE TRADE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zambia and South Africa have declared a partnership that connects industries, opens supply chains, and enhances trade between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>The affirmation is anchored on the plan to implement a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today into action between the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) and the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS).<\/p>\n<p>The MoU will act as a tool that will help businesses produce goods that meet customer expectations, improve safety, and open doors to new markets.<\/p>\n<p>ZABS Executive Director Nathan Sing&#8217;ambwa, signed on behalf of the organisation, while SABS Chief Operations Officer Thabo Sepuru, signed on behalf of his organisation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Beyond institutional collaboration, this partnership will strengthen our national capacity to deliver products and services that are trusted not only locally but across borders,\u201d\u00a0Mr Sing&#8217;ambwa\u00a0said.<\/p>\n<p>SABS Chief Operations Officer Thabo Sepuru, emphasised the need for African countries to trade with one another.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Sepuru noted that the partnership would drive maximum benefits to the people in the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zambia and South Africa have declared a partnership that connects industries, opens supply chains, and enhances trade between the two countries.
