Picture by Thomas Nsama\/ZANIS<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>ZANIS reports that Mr Wang said the choice of China\u2019s development philosophies can serve as valuable references and opportunities for all members of the international community, especially Global South countries aspiring for economic prosperity and social progress.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Wang identified four keys to understanding China\u2019s approach long term strategic planning, clear development objectives, enhanced global partnerships, and deepened China Zambia cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>He cited initiatives like the TAZARA Railway Prosperity Belt and support for Zambia\u2019s industrialisation as examples of mutual benefit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn international issues, China reaffirmed opposition to hegemonism and support for Zambia\u2019s sovereignty,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Wang urged attendees to shape perceptions of China\u2019s development philosophy and explore collaboration opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>And National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) Executive Director, Jacob Malungo explained NIPA\u2019s four pillars which are public service training, academic education, research and innovation, and commercialisation of business aid.<\/p>\n<p>Prof Malungo highlighted synergies with China, citing Shanghai University of Electric Power collaborations and plans for a Chinese Language and Culture Centre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNIPA aims to enhance governance capacity through China Zambia partnerships, focusing on digital governance, clean energy, and policy planning,\u201d Prof Malungo said.<\/p>\n<p>Prof Malungo emphasised NIPA\u2019s role in regional cooperation, leveraging Zambia\u2019s chairmanship to drive south to south collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, University of Zambia (UNZA) Director of Confucius Institute, David Mwanza, commended China\u2019s success in implementing its five year plans offering valuable lessons for Zambia, University of Zambia citing patriotism, respect for leadership, and focus on execution as key factors.<\/p>\n<p>Prof Mwanza noted China\u2019s emphasis on agriculture and local production, saying, \u201cIf a country of China\u2019s stature prioritises food security, we have much to learn.<\/p>\n<p>He also highlighted China\u2019s respect for family units as contributing to national development.<\/p>\n<p>Prof Mwanza praised China\u2019s noninterference principle that countries should define their own present and future without external interference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need to respect citizens\u2019 intelligence to choose their leaders and Venezuela is an example where this policy is admirable, he said<\/p>\n<p>Prof Mwanza urged Zambia to learn from China\u2019s focus on execution, hard work, and self-reliance, saying these traits could enhance local development plans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with Zambia outlining opportunities for cooperation under the framework of the 15th\u00a0\u00a0Five Year Plan.
