President Hakainde Hichilema says the government is poised to find solutions to issues that stand in the way of realising economic growth.
President Hichilema notes that the government is focusing on economic growth, adding that the issue of local content in the mining sector must be addressed with clear minds, with a focus on economic growth that will benefit everyone.
He states that the government wants to see broader benefits and activities arising from key investments in the country.
President Hichilema was speaking this afternoon at State House when a delegation of mine house representatives, led by the World Bank Country Manager for Zambia, Achim Fock, paid a courtesy call on him.
President Hichilema pointed out that as the government drives the growth agenda, it is also important that opportunities are not only created for investors but for domestic businesses as well so that they can fully support the growth agenda.
“I am very delighted that these issues are being addressed. The issue of local content has to be addressed with clear minds, that we are focusing on the agenda of growth, which will benefit mining, energy, and agriculture investors, among others,” said Mr Hichilema.
