North-Western Province Permanent Secretary Col. Grandson Katambi (retired) has commended Kansanshi Mining Plc, in partnership with SNV, for hosting a business clinic aimed at supporting local enterprise growth.
Speaking during the event in Solwezi, Col. Katambi said the initiative will empower local businesses to participate meaningfully in the province’s economic development.
“This compliance business clinic has been designed to address one of the key barriers facing mainly micro, small and medium enterprises across the province,” he said,
Meanwhile, Kansanshi Foundation Manager Simon Keeval said the mining company continues to build a strong local business community capable of competing in the global market through partnerships with SNV and government departments.
And SNV Programmes Manager Betty Phiri added that the organisation aims to empower at least 2,400 young people in Solwezi with entrepreneurial and digital agribusiness skills.
