The Mansa Municipal Council has disbursed over K5 million under the 2026 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) in form of grants to support local development initiatives.

The funds have benefited a combined total of 276 groups and cooperatives from both Bahati and Mansa Central Constituencies.

Mansa Municipal Council Public Relations Officer, Joel Kashi has disclosed this stating that all the benefiting groups and cooperatives are expected to engage in various Income Generating Activities (IGAs) designed to stimulate local economic activity.

“The IGAs include livestock rearing, maize production, agro-business ventures, gardening projects, milling operations, village banking, mobile communication services and small-scale trading such as stationery and supply businesses,” Mr Kashi said.
