Successful parliamentary candidates in Chembe Constituency have pledged to address community concerns and accelerate development in the district ahead of the August 13, 2026 General Elections.
United Party for National Development (UPND) candidate and immediate past Chembe Member of Parliament Cliff Mpundu has pledged to continue implementing the government’s development agenda in the constituency.
Mr Mpundu has further thanked President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND leadership for welcoming him into the party and adopting him as the party’s candidate for the Chembe parliamentary race.
National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) candidate Kasongo Chomba said that, if elected, he will prioritise access to clean and safe water, noting that water supply remains a major challenge in the district.
And Socialist Party (SP) candidate Mathews Songwe said he wants to work to improve access to clean and safe water, as well as better roads for the people of Chembe.
