NZOVU BIDS FAREWELL TO MINISTRY STAFF, THANKS PRESIDENT HICHILEMA

Minister of Water Development and Sanitation, Collins Nzovu, has thanked President Hakainde Hichilema for the opportunity to serve in government, describing his tenure as both inspiring and fulfilling.

Speaking during his farewell address to ministry staff ahead of the dissolution of Parliament and Cabinet next week, Mr Nzovu said President Hichilema restored the direction of the country, and revived the Zambia citizens’ hopes and purpose at a critical time.

He said he was honoured to serve as Zambia’s first Minister of Green Economy and Environment before later being moved to head the Ministry of Water Development and Sanitation.

Mr Nzovu, who is also Nangoma Member of Parliament in Central Province, further paid tribute to all members of staff in the ministry for their dedication and professionalism in delivering water and sanitation services across the country.

He said the achievements recorded by the ministry were a result of collective effort and teamwork in expanding water supply schemes, rehabilitating infrastructure, strengthening sanitation systems, and responding to national emergencies such as cholera outbreaks and droughts.
