CHIEF Chiundaponde of the Bisa people of Lavushimanda District in Muchinga Province has plegded his support to the Government.
Chief Chiundaponde added that his support to the government of the day was due to the good leadership, policies and many developmental projects achieved so far by the ruling party United Party for National Development (UPND).
The Traditional leader mentioned the various empowerments currently being undertaken under the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise in the area, the support to the education sector and the construction of his palace as some of the milestones scored by the President Hakainde Hichilema and his administration in the chiefdom.
Chief Chiundaponde was speaking at his palace when Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Malama Mufunelo, who was in the company of officials from the Ministry Headquarters, Citizen Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) and the district administration, paid a courtesy call on him.
“I’m happy that the President appointed my own son of the soil as Minister and for this reason I will support him,” he said.
Meanwhile, CEEC Finance and Administration Officer (FAO) Wilbas Tembo stated that the commission was in the area to carry out sensitisation and register eligible beneficiaries for the various loans.
