MPULUNGU RESIDENTS APPEAL FOR IMPROVED WATER SUPPLY

MPULUNGU residents have appealed to Chambeshi Water Supply and Sanitation Company to find a lasting solution to the erratic water supply in the district.

Sharon Mubanga says people in Mpulungu have had challenges with Chambeshi Water Supply, as the area has not been supplied with water for about three weeks.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS, Ms Mubanga narrated that the district had not received water for two weeks, and that the water utility only supplied the commodity for two days, and the problem has resurfaced.

She said the water utility company needs to up its game and supply water to the people in Mpulungu because lack of clean and safe water may lead to diarrhea diseases.

Meanwhile, sources from Chambeshi Water Supply and Sanitation Company revealed that the shortage of water supply in the district is due to a burnt voltage monitor at the water intake.
