OVER 128,000 youths have registered on the recently launched Imisepela Application, making it a number one application, for smartphone users in the country.
Speaking during a Meet and Greet in Lusaka, Smart Zambia Institute National Coordinator, Percy Chinyama, says that his institution is committed to multisectoral collaboration, which opens up access to opportunities for the young people.

“We encourage all young people to continue using digital technology safely and responsibly for the benefit of our citizens, our communities and our country,” said Mr Chinyama.
Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts Permanent Secretary, Kangwa Chileshe, described the application as a practical response to challenges in accessing information on jobs, entrepreneurship and skills development opportunities designed for their growth.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection Permanent Secretary, Zechariah Luhanga disclosed that his ministry is working with the Ministry of Youth Sport and Arts, to take up 1,000 youths in internship programmes, in mining, Agriculture, Tourism and Energy.

And Imisepela Executive Director, Violet Chibuta, commended the government and stakeholders for the initiative.
