The Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) has extended the 2026 empowerment application period to February 27 to allow applicants more time to submit required documents.
CEEC Public Relations and Communications Manager Michelo Mukata urged applicants in urban areas to take advantage of the redesigned Empowerment Plus online system, which offers convenience, transparency, and real‑time tracking of applications.
Mr Mukata noted that the commission has already received a significant number of applications in newly introduced loan categories, which reflects the responsiveness of the products.
He encouraged members of the public facing challenges to reach out through email, social media, or provincial offices for assistance.
“This is a redesigned system for you to enjoy convenience, for you to enjoy feedback in no time on your application, as well as transparency because you are able to track your application on this platform,” said Mr Mukata.
