Zambia and South Africa have declared a partnership that connects industries, opens supply chains, and enhances trade between the two countries.
The affirmation is anchored on the plan to implement a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today into action between the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS) and the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS).
The MoU will act as a tool that will help businesses produce goods that meet customer expectations, improve safety, and open doors to new markets.
ZABS Executive Director Nathan Sing’ambwa, signed on behalf of the organisation, while SABS Chief Operations Officer Thabo Sepuru, signed on behalf of his organisation.
“Beyond institutional collaboration, this partnership will strengthen our national capacity to deliver products and services that are trusted not only locally but across borders,” Mr Sing’ambwa said.
SABS Chief Operations Officer Thabo Sepuru, emphasised the need for African countries to trade with one another.
Mr Sepuru noted that the partnership would drive maximum benefits to the people in the two countries.
