Community Based Inclusive Development Provincial Coordinator Emmanuel Samu has appealed to parents with children with disabilities to apply for the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) secondary school bursary component.

Mr Samu told ZANIS in an interview that the CDF was meant to ease people’s lives including those with disabilities.

He said those with children in schools should take advantage of the secondary boarding component to ensure their children are assisted.

Mr. Samu, a member of the Solwezi Central Constituency CDF Committee, emphasized that education was for everyone.

 He stated that as a representative of persons with disabilities in the province, he has been organising meetings with people with disabilities, inviting the Solwezi Municipal Council to sensitize them on CDF applications and procedures to ensure that all eligible individuals benefit.

He noted that CDF bursary component and free education in general was put in place to ease the education life of children from vulnerable households.
