A total of 4,501 farmers in Chama district in Eastern Province have redeemed their farming inputs under the ongoing Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) for the 2025/2026 farming season.
Chama District Agriculture Coordinator, Danny Musukwa, said in an interview with Zambia News and Information Service that 2,224 farmers have not yet redeemed their inputs.
Mr Musukwa said the district has a target of 7,145 FISP beneficiaries, adding that 6,725 farmers are already on the voucher system.
He said the redemption process is expected to be completed by 30th November, 2025.
Mr Musukwa has since encouraged the remaining beneficiaries to visit their Agriculture Assistants in their respective camps so they can be assisted with the codes needed to redeem their inputs.
